BRONZE MEDAL FOR GB AT UNDER-18 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Great Britain have secured the bronze medal at the U18 World Championship Division II Group A in Serbia following a final day which saw them lose 2-1 in overtime to Lithuania.

Lithuania took gold and promotion to Division I Group B, while Croatia claimed silver with a second-place finish.

Mykolas Skadauskas put Lithuania ahead with a neat wrist-shot (8:07), before Finley Bradon stole the puck in the slot and fired in the equaliser (23:16).

Timur Sedleckij Razin’s secured the extra point for Lithuania in overtime with a sweet top-shelf finish (63:53).

GB won three of their five matches – against Romania, Serbia and Spain – and suffered only one regulation-time defeat

Monday 10th April: Great Britain 0-7 Croatia
Wednesday 12th April: Great Britain 6-2 Serbia – Goals: Bradon 3, Shaw 2, Knaggs
Thursday 13th April: Spain 2-3 Great Britain – Goals: Mohr, Bruton, Lyne
Saturday 15th April: Great Britain 1-2 Lithuania – Goal: Bradon
