Great Britain and Italy go head-to-head at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham this evening with promotion to the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Czechia on the line (7:30pm face-off).

Britain need a point for promotion and two points will secure the gold medal, while a regulation-time win for Italy will see them go up to the top level instead of GB.

Poland, with three wins and overtime defeat in their four matches so far, are strong favourites for promotion but the scenarios will change if they are beaten by relegation-threatened Romania.
