GB BEAT POLAND IN WARM-UP AHEAD OF WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Great Britain beat Poland 6-2 in a warm-up game in Suwon as part of preparations for the upcoming World Championship Division I Group B.

Rachel Cartwright (15:36) and Katie Henry (17:53) gave GB a 2-0 first-period lead.

Ellie Wallace scored at 23:34 as Britain led 3-1 at the second intermission.

Henry scored her second at 48:11 before Lucy Beal made it 5-1 at 52:53.

Ruby Newlands netted the sixth at 55:43 as GB secured a 6-2 victory.

GB face Kazakhstan tomorrow in a warm-up game ahead of Monday’s opening game of the World Championship between the two sides.
