GB U18S BEATEN BY DVTK JEGESMEDVEK IN WARM-UP GAME

Great Britain were beaten 5-3 by DVTK Jegesmedvek this afternoon in Slovakia as part of the preparations for the upcoming Under-18 World Championship Division II Group A in Serbia, which gets under way at the weekend.

Szalay Boloizsar put DVTK ahead (6:52) before Adam Erskine equalised (16:18) for GB.

Artem Gryaznow put the Hungarian youngsters in-front for a second time (25:25), before four goals in just under 90 seconds.

Kocsis Botond made it 3-1 (32:28) but Louie White reduced the deficit within 16 seconds (32:44).

Jacob White-Sey levelled the game moments later (33:29), but DVTK went ahead again through Botond’s second goal of the night (33:52).

Olah Tamas secured DVTK’s victory with a goal in the third period (52:41).

GB face Romania tomorrow in another warm-up game and will stay in Slovakia until Friday, before moving to their base in Belgrade for the World Championship.

Saturday 15th April: Great Britain v Lithuania 16:30 face-off (15:30 UK time)
