Great Britain have announced a 32-player long-list squad for training camp ahead of this year’s World Championship.

There are first GB call-ups for forwards Kieran Brown and Sean Norris who are added to the roster from the Euro Challenge in February.

The squad will be cut to 22, plus an emergency netminder, ahead of the championship which begins on Saturday 29th April.

Head Coach, Pete Russell, said: “We feel we have selected a quality group of players for training camp.

“Cutting players from this roster is going to be tough for the coaching staff, but that’s a great position to be in.

“The four games will be vital in our preparations for the World Championship and it’s fantastic to be hosting such a prestigious tournament on home ice.”

GB are hosting the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group A at the Motorpoint Arena, which gets under way later this month.

As part of training camp, GB play international matches against Latvia at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham on Saturday 22nd April (7pm), with the two sides going head-to-head again in Coventry the following day, Sunday 23rd April (5:30pm).

Britain face Hungary in Milton Keynes on Tuesday 25th April (7:30pm) and they’ll then meet at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham 24 hours later, Wednesday 26th April (7:30pm).
