UK TO HOST TWO EVENTS FOR IIHF GLOBAL GIRLS’ GAME

The IIHF Global Girls’ Game is returning for 2023 and will take place on the weekend of 18th and 19th February.

From New Zealand to Asia, Europe and the Americas, this festival of girls’ hockey sees Team Blue and Team White battle it out in a weekend-long game across the world.

This year, the UK will host two events on Saturday 18th February with games taking place at Dumfries Ice Bowel and the Ozone Ice Rink in Bracknell.

Each game will take place at 1pm and last for an hour, whilst at Dumfries there will be a second hour for skills and drills.

There is the opportunity for 40 girls to take part at each venue – 80 in total- and applications will be handled on a first come, first served basis.

This year’s IIHF Global Girls’ Game is open to any girl under the age of 18 that is registered with the EIHA or SIH.
